Road and Track Closures

Memory Road (between Gunns Road and Upper Esk Road) is closed because a section of road has been washed away and fallen trees are blocking it. You can instead go from Upper Esk Road onto Telopea Road and then through to Gunns Road.

In attempt to reduce illegal and antisocial behaviour, Sustainable Timber Tasmania has deemed it necessary to restrict access to this road as a result of ongoing illegal activity and unsociable behaviour in the surrounding areas. This road will remain inaccessible to the public until further notice.

Helilog Road is closed as the lease holder is doing work.

Currently, motorbikes are not permitted to be ridden in the section of Permanent Timber Production Zone adjacent to Buckland Road.

Russell Road is closed northwest of Lonnavale because of damage to the ‘twin’ bridges. You can still get to the Nevada Peak walking track through McDougalls Road (off Denison Road).

South Weld Road (past Glovers Bluff turn) is closed because it’s damaged.
