Road and Track Closures

You can’t get to Montezuma Falls from the Murchison Highway at Melba Flats on the North East Dundas Tramway (Montezuma Falls 4WD Track). You also can’t get to the falls from the Murchison Highway to the north on the Ring River Track due because of a fallen tree and a land slip.

Hales Road, through Dial Range in Penguin, is closed south of the Mount Gnomon car park. The road has been eroded and there are deep ruts.

Blackfish Road, at Oldina Reserve, south of Beswick Road Junction, is closed. To keep people safe the gate will stay locked.

Access to Wes Beckett Falls from Tarkine Drive is closed from the junction of Sumac Road. We have closed it because of falling trees due to bushfire damage. We don’t know when we will be able to reopen this road.

South Riana Road – Spur 1 is closed because of damage to a bridge. We don’t know when we will be able to reopen this road.

Pruana Road between Bird Road jcn and Pioneer Road jnc has a 10-tonne load limit

Holder Road is closed approximately 450m east of Holder spur 11 (Providence Creek).

As a result of regular illegal activities and unsociable behaviour including vandalism and rubbish dumping, Gog Range Reserve and camping area are closed to the public until further notice.
