Biomass Processing and Transport Services
Sustainable Timber Tasmania (STT) advises of an upcoming procurement opportunity relating to the provision of biomass processing and transport services.
As part of a long-term biomass supply initiative, STT intends to release a Request for Tender (RFT) on on or close to 30 September 2026 seeking suitably qualified organisations with the capability and capacity to deliver an integrated biomass processing and transport solution.
The services are expected to be performed in northern Tasmania and are anticipated to commence in February 2027.
The opportunity is expected to support the delivery of approximately 100,000 tonnes of biomass per annum sourced predominately wood residue material arising from harvesting across the Permanent Timber Production Zone managed by Sustainable Timber Tasmania.
Tenders will be accepted from consortiums, noting that the contract for the integrated services is expected to be awarded to a single contracting party.
