Our achievements reflect the commitment of our employees, contractors, customers, Shareholder Ministers, our Board of Directors, and the broader Tasmanian community.
This year’s highlights include:
Supporting regional economies
- Eight years of consecutive profitable results.
- $109 million paid to 544 Tasmanian businesses this year
- $45 million paid to harvesting and hauling contractors.
Forest regeneration
- 100 million native seeds sown.
- 99.5% regeneration success rate across assessed areas.
Our contribution to bushfire management
- Attended 57 bushfires.
- 13 planned fuel reduction burns, covering more than 2,000 hectares.
- 334 personnel-days contributed to 23 multi-agency fuel reduction operations.
- Invested in AI fire detection technology to improve rapid response and outcomes.
Enabling community use
- 24 kilometers of new forest roads constructed
- 10,000 kilometers of forestry roads to enable community, industry, recreation, and emergency use
Protecting natural and cultural values
- 161 giant trees verified and protected.
- 37,000 hectares surveyed for eagle nest identification and protection – with 16 new nests discovered.
Innovation and carbon
- Led or participated in 31 research projects valued at $14.2 million.
- Delivered four carbon projects covering approximately 2,000 hectares, generating 26,496 carbon credits.
